Wuthering Shites

I am reading Wuthering Heights at the minute for English. Don't ever think about reading it for fun.

And now it's been even longer. Ah well. Watched two movies last night;

Pretty original vampire flick, and of course it's based on a work by Stephen King, which always helps. The ending and the reveal were quite jarring actually considering it was made a good twenty years ago.

The ending and Vinnie Jones were just about the only things that saved the movie. I was totally uninterested for over an hour but found myself glued to the screen for the last 25 minutes. Weird.

28 Days Later

...ok it's been a bit longer than that, but you get the jist.

So freshers week has come and gone and to be honest wasn't as interesting as people would have you believe. Having said that it certainly did have its charms, and I've met people I'm sure I'm going to know for the rest of my life. My biggest fear beforehand was not getting on with the people I was to be living with, and one month in I can safely say that's not going to be an issue, everyone here is really laid back and easy to get on with.

Anyway, I don't really want to write about that. Instead I'm going to use this space for critical thinking, mainly pertaining to the media I consume and the texts I come across in my lectures, and probably a shit load more.

More than likely the first thing on the agenda will be these guys;

That's right Bowling For Soup. Tomorrow night will be approximately the zillionth time I've seen them, and Mary is coming up from Derby to go with me, and as such it's likely that it'll be fresh on my mind when I come to do the next blog. Hopefully not 28 months later...
